Gainsborough Primary School

The purpose of our curriculum is to raise aspirations and to broaden horizons. Throughout our learning, we aim to show the purpose of learning a subject and how those subjects can be used to pursue a range of careers. While teaching each subject, the children are shown the 'Future Me' posters are we discuss some inspirational people in that field of work.

We dedicate a personal development day in the summer term to a 'Future Me' day, where we have visitors come into school to talk about their careers and how they embarked on it.

Educational visits are planned throughout the year to show children the world of opportunities that are available to them. Some of these visits include visits to workplaces.
